HARTMANN

Oliver Hartmann was so kind to send "his own words" about his current new release "Home" scheduled for release in Europe this week. Enjoy the read:

Coming Home to You:
It's about being far away from home for a long time -for example when you're touring- and missing the one you love. During this time you can't share your thoughts and feelings in the way you want so sometimes you really wished to be at home again. This song describes the feelings the day you return again to your home.

The Sun's Still Rising:
Sometimes you may loose your sense in life due to bad things that happen to you and you feel like nothing will gonna change that - and for sure it won't if you have negative thoughts. So in most cases I think it's up to you to lift yourself up again and with the faith in a higher power or with the belief and trust in yourself you will reach your goals much easier.

My Everything:
This one was originally written by a friend of mine for his wife after the birth of their first child. It's a great song which describes the feeling of loving a woman already for a long time and you see that she's the most important part of your life - your everything.

Somewhere Someday:
I've really seen people throwing away their life for drugs and alcohol and if you already know them for a long time it's very sad to see how they've changed and how they lose their whole personality  due to being addicted. The worst thing is that you can see what happens but you're unable make them change their ways even if they know that it's leading them straight into disease and death.

Just for You:
It's a song about the situation when your partner is hiding her feelings and doesn't let you take a look inside. So you try to find the reasons and when you really love somebody you won't give up and you will maybe do everything that is possible to make her open her heart to you and letting you in.

I Don't Want to Know:
I think everybody knows the feeling when a relationship has ended and you meet again after a long time. Maybe you think you're over it and you're able to talk about several things, but in most cases - even if you would like to ask - you don't want to hear anything about a new love or a new relationship. Especially when you hope that there are still feelings left for each other.

Higher Than Me:
Some people are never asking themselves if what they do is right or wrong and really believe they never failed or made any kind of mistakes. But they will try to make you feel that way cause they think they are maybe more intelligent and better than you but acting that way is maybe the biggest mistake of all.

Why Do I:
It's a song about a relationship that is working neither with nor without each other. You end a relationship and get together again after a certain time. It's always the same story like in a movie you've seen a hundred times.

Millionaire:
This song describes a person who's really hanging on to money as his sense of life and fearing nothing more than losing it. While trying to get more and more he forgets about any kind of moral or other rules in life. It's written in a funny and sarcastic way cause I can't take people too serious who act like that - even if they can be really dangerous.

Crying:
This song is about the pain you feel when a relationship has ended due to your own mistakes cause sometimes you really don't know what you got until it's gone. Then you're beginning to understand what went wrong but you also have to see that there's maybe no turning back.

Lay All Your Love on Me:
It may happen that you fall in love with somebody who's heart been jaded or broken too many times so that it's not easy to get through to heart and soul. But being in love you will offer her your heart and soul to make her know that she can trust in you and that you will never let her down so that she can lay all her love on you.
