HARDLINE

Long overdue HARDLINE third studio album "Just Add Water" is finally going to be completed soon. Singer Johnny Gioeli sent an official update for the fans "We are mixing and mastering the second week of September in Los Angeles! The new record combines the sounds of old and new.... Great big hooks... Yet I call it music-sushi: raw and delicious.  I can't wait for it to be completed. It was shelved and finally dusted off when I could concentrate on her. Everyone will be pleased and this time we REALLY want to tour with this record!".

TERRY BROCK

Ex Strangeways singer, Terry Brock is finalizing the recording of his lead vocals track at Mike Slamer's studio in Los Angeles. "Other than the minor earthquake that we experienced (my first and hopefully last!!)" says Terry, "the recording is going amazingly well". Songs completed so far include the title track "Face In The Crowd" and then "No More Mister Nice Guy", "A Soldier Falls", "Broken", "The Rain" and "Diamond Blue". "I believe that fans of Strangeways, Steelhouse Lane, Seventh Key, Slamer and Back To Eden will ALL find something on this CD that they might enjoy. It's taken FOREVER to finish due to many reasons, but we all think it's worth it", concludes Terry. Frontiers plans to release the album in early 2009.

LOS ANGELES

Fabrizio Grossi and his gang have completed laying down all tracks for the forthcoming LOS ANGELES album. This time the line up will include, apart from Grossi on bass and the fabulous Italian singer Michele Luppi, Joey Sykes, Robert Priori and Tommy Denander on guitars, Eric Ragno ..boards and Nashville based drummer Tony Morra.

"The musical direction we set out for this new record" explains Grossi, "was to go straight back to the radio Hard Rock sound of LA's golden era, with influences from Mr. Mister, Toto and Richard Marx. A lot of analog sounds and no electronics, especially in the keyboards dept, where we mainly used piano and Hammond organs. We have also tried to go for some deeper lyrics this time and we took a lot of influence from Toto's "Falling in Between", who dealt with a lot of social and contemporary issues".

Grossi and Luppi have also worked very heavily on the songwriting. Titles will include Neverland, Paradise, Passing By, Inside, Higher Love. Brothers Tom and James Martin (Khymera, House of Lords) contributed with two tracks Wait For You and Tonight Tonight. The album will also include the Richard Marx cover "Nothing To Hide". The album will be completed in September with a release pencilled for early 2009.

TERRA NOVA

Dutch Melodic Rockers TERRA NOVA are back to the studio for the recording of the band's fifth studio album that will be entitled "Come Alive". The line up for the new album will be exactly the same as it was with the recording of the first and third Terra Nova album featuring: Fred Hendrix on lead vocals, Ron Hendrix ..boards, Gesuino Derosas on guitars, Lars Beuving on drums and additional musician Eric Coenen on bass guitar.

"The new songs are very much in the line of the very first Terra Nova album "Livin' It Up", assures Fred Hendrix who invites the fans to visit the Terra Nova official website www.terranova.name for "a few small video impressions taken during the recording of the new album".
